Woodbridge will be OFF-AIR from midnight. It is expected to be up-and-running again by mid-afternoon (the advice to installers says 12 noon). Ensure that the transmitter is fully running again before tuning in your digital box.

You can find progress reports at Digital UK - Relay transmitter switching times .

david bailey: Just to chip in, this is a "public service" transmitter. The commercial operators declined to operate from the smaller transmitters, regarding the costs of installation and operation to be too high.

If you want more channels, Freesat would be a good option - Compare Freeview Light and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

I seem to have lost PSB3/BBCB from the Woodbridge Transmitter and therefore I am unable to recieve any of the HD transmissions. The Freeview site shows no problems or engineering works with the woodbridge transmitter. I tried selecting the BBC ONE HD channel 50 from the channel list and the TV displayed "NO SIGNAL" message. Retuned the TV from the Factory default setting which deletes all existing channels and rescans for available channels. No HD channels are now listed. Anyone else having this problem with the woodbridge Transmitter.

Mux PSB2 D3+4 - comes and goes, a few hours on, a few hours off - "too weak a signal". Have bought a signal amplifier but makes no difference. Only happened in the last 2 months. Happens in the day and night.

Peter: Retuning is the last thing to do when you have a fault like this. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.
