The signal I am getting from the Wrekin transmitter is good with the exception of those channels coming from their PSB3 list IE HD channels from BBC , ITV, C4, C5 and it seems Film 4 plus 1.
Is there an issue , this has been occurring for the around 3 weeks now.
My post code is ST15 0YA.

Neville Howse: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? What signal strength and quality readings do you get for PSB3 and what do you get for the other muxes?

Pauline Ross-Jones: This is all due to co-channel interference from distant transmitters due to atmospheric fading. This is because of the large high pressure weather system currently over the UK.
There is pretty much nothing you or anyone else, including the broadcasters, can do about it.
Incidentally, it has been happening since the invention of television! Its no more or less now than it was back in the analogue days, its just that the way it manifests itself on screen has changed with the technology.
It will stop once the high pressure moves

In postcode area TF13 6DU we are receiving Freeview on an indoor Arial but cannot tune in BBC1&2.
Even the Guide channel listing excludes showing details of 1&2
The remaining channels, of which there are many, can be viewed without problem.
Is this an issue with indoor aerials for BBC reception.

You are 18km away from the Wrekin transmitter which is too far for reliable reception with an indoor aerial. You need an external (or loft mounted) wideband aerial aimed at the transmitter to get reliable reception again.

MikeP's advice is the best, but if an external aerial is a problem there are a couple of things you could try which might tip the balance.
One is to get your indoor aerial facing the Wrekin through a window - higher the better.
The other is an aerial amplifier. Not generally recommended with digital TV but might just tip the balance.

we are linked to wrekin transmitter. for the last three weeks plus we are getting no signal notice and broken picture. This can last from fifteen minutes and in the last few days it has been worse and lasting as long as two hours at different times of the day. we have three televisions of which two are on indoor aerials which are also as above

My Sky News and Dave (Com5 or ARQA) has lost signal.
This is worst in the morning (6am or so) and usually comes back mid morning.
I am 27km away from Wreking (SY4 1LR in Ruyton XI Towns)
I can see the transmitter from my bedroom window and the wide-band aerial is in the loft.
But I note it transmits on fairly low power - 10kw.
Other channels are 20kw.
Sutton Coldfield is further away (75km) but transmits at 200kw
Would I do better on that?
Or is there a problem at Wrekin?
