Emma Gover: This is very likely caused by the high atmospheric pressure affecting various parts of the country, causing lift conditions which allow signals from distant transmitters which cannot normally be received to interfere with the signals from the transmitter you normally use. Do not attempt to retune as this will delete all of your channels which are already correctly tuned. As this is an entirely natural phenomenon, all you can do is wait for the atmospheric conditions to return to normal.

When will the Stockland Hill transmitter be upgraded to send SDN signals.
We bought a Freeview tv expecting to get 70 channels & only can get 20.

Geoff Wright: Stockland Hill already broadcasts the SDN (COM4), ArqA (COM5) and ArqB (COM6) multiplexes, although they are only broadcast at half the power of the PSB multiplexes. If you provide a full postcode you'll be able to access a coverage prediction for your location.

My postcode is EX8 5AB and my new aerial was pointed towards the Stockland Hill transmitter by the installer, as this would provide the best range of channels. However, the signal is very variable and dependent on climatic conditions. At times, there are very few services that are free from mozaiced pictures, broken audio and many just absent.
Can you explain this - was my aerial rigger mistaken?

Barrie Stow : Stockland Hill isn't predicted to give a strong signal according to the Digital UK checker for your postcode, which seems to match the results you're getting. None of the other transmitters look like particularly great options either, with the only viable alternatives only giving your the PSB channels. You would be better off getting Freesat.

I live in Sidmouth EX10 9PP. I use a loft aerial with a booster to supply 2 TVs. I get regular interference on BBC channels, when the picture pixelates and breaks up. It doesn't seem to affect ITV channels. Is this something I have to just put up with?

Steve Tucker: Does your TV have a manual tuning option (check the user guide if you don't know)? On many TVs the manual tuning screen has a signal meter which will show you the signal strength and quality.

To whom it may concern.
Dear Sir ,
Is it possible to upgrade your transmitter to be the same as Beacon Hill please?
They have upgraded so living in Exeter your transmitter is the closes and best signal but would appreciate
the extra channels.
Could you indicate when you are planning to upgrade your service
Many thanks
