P JONES:

The BBC had reported the transmitter as off-air on a couple of occasions since storm Arwen, but it ought to be on air now.

If you retuned when you had no signal or badly pixellated pictures it will most likely have cleared the correct tuning and you'll need to retune again when signals are normal.

Having done that, if you still don't have S4C and if you do have ITV1 ITV2 Ch4 and Ch5 etc. the problem may need to be advised to S4C. Post back if you still can't get it and check if any others are missing.

S4C problem still unresolved
Have re-tuned several times to no avail. Aerial seems OK as all other available channels seem normal

Ann Roberts : BBC Reception [bbc.co.uk/reception] advises it is currently working.

However, in the event of a power cut to site it may go off air. SP Energy Networks currently has two incidents listed relating to the postcode of the transmitter, one saying it has been restored and the other saying it is ongoing:

https://www.spenergynetwo…07YN

Of course, this isn't to say it will be all in the same postcode, nor that if some in the postcode have been restored that there aren't others. Suffice to say that it appears that it a power outage might have caused it to go of air, in light of what SP Energy Networks is saying.

Ann Roberts:

I hope your mother didn't retune when she had no signal as this would have just cleared the correct tuning. As the transmitter is currently listed as working, she may need to retune again if she did it whilst it said no signal.
One other obvious check, is her aerial and coax downlead still in one piece and pointing correctly?
