john slater: Have a look in the TV's menu for an option to turn off the auto retuning. Engineering work rarely takes place overnight and is almost certainly not the cause of channels being deleted overnight. If you need any further help, please let us know the make and model of your TV and a full postcode so we can see what signal strength you should be getting etc.

Hi Steve: thank you for your response. The post code is TN224jx. The TV is a Sony Bravia 49xe9005bu. The house has a loft box system and as there are other TVs working ok I do not suspect this (as yet). The TV in question is fed from the house circuit via a Humax recorder. When this is off and we are watching digital tv we get a blank picture with a message no signal. The Human turns off overnight.
Many thanks

john slater: If the aerial connection for your TV goes through your Humax recorder then it sounds like the Humax is effectively blocking the signal when in standby. In the menu on the Humax there should be an option to keep the RF passthrough on whilst the box is in standby.

Many thanks

I have been receiving very good reception on all channels from Heathfield ever since it went digital, but now for some time am unable to watch any of the HD channels due to them breaking up all the time. I'm at BN22 9BX Any ideas much appreciated.

Alan Clark: As I've said previously,
a) check your signal strength - if its low, then you probably have a problem with your system. If its too high, and therefore channels are breaking up, there are easy ways to just bring signal strength down a touch. Since your 20km from Heathfield, thats distinctly possible.
b) Check your actually tuned to Heathfield. Have a look at the link for Digital UK - the bearing for Heathfield is very similar to Crystal Palace, and its possible that might be found first in a scan.

We are in South Chailey and currently experiencing intermittent and interrupted signal on chs 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, 24, 28, 68 so assume it is at your end rather than ours. Freeview reset procedure has no positive effect and all electrical equipment is as before and in unchanged positions.

Jennifer Hamad: We have no idea where you are so cannot say what signal you should be getting. But although there was seemingly work yesterday, there doesn't seem to be any today. You can put your postcode into the site to bring up information on the transmitters in your area, but its unlikely the fault is at the transmitter - its much more likely to be at your end.
Check you leads - the most likely problem is a dodgy lead or connection, and signal strength - if its low, then either the transmitter does have a problem, or you do.
