If there's one thing that annoys me about the Bilsdale page is the reference to ITV companies which were never
transmitted from it, ABC and Granada. It didn't carry BBC1 and ITV until November 1969.

Mike Davison: The ITV companies listed above appear to be a listing of which companies were broadcasting to that region over the years, rather than which companies were broadcast from this particular transmitter. My local relay has a company listed which had folded years before it was built.

So, I'm in Middlesbrough. The Eston Nab transmitter is up and down like a yo-yo! As for the replacement Bilsdale transmitter, the signal from it is too poor to watch - on a good day I can get more channels from the Nottingham transmitter! Talking to my neighbours, a few have switched to the Eston Nab transmitter, but the majority have abandoned terrestrial TV. If someone were to survey the number of homes without terrestrial TV reception in the area, my gut feeling it is many times that 16,000 quoted number!

I suggest you contact Arqiva.
Whilst predictions aren't always accurate, current predictions suggest you should get good reception from Bilsdale Quarry, quite good reception from Eston Nab except COM6 (C48) which could be poor/variable, and reasonable reception from Pontop PIke although the COM muxes are likely to be variable.
There has been some "temperature inversion/tropospheric ducting" around on various occasions of late which could have resulted in interference to your reception or indeed provided the conditions to allow you to get the Nottingham transmitter (which you certainly aren't predicted to get in normal circumstances!).

Peter Wingrove: You are only predicted to get good reception of the PSB multiplexes from the temporary mast at Bilsdale Quarry, this may improve when the second temporary mast enters services from the main Bilsdale site, however there are no predictions available. The only other transmitter predicted to be available is Masham which only broadcasts the PSB multiplexes.
