I'm no satellite expert by any means, but according to Wikipedia -
Al Jazeera is on Sky 511 or Freesat 203.
TRT World is Sky 513 HD or 886 SD and 215 on Freesat.
But according to the list here which could be out of date, on Sky it's 516
So I don't understand how it all works then if it's a Sky Box!

Chris.SE: I've been using TV Guide | Freesat as an up to date reference for Freesat channel numbers. Sky appear to have removed their online TV Guide from their website so that can no longer be used to check channel numbers.

nick: As me and Chris have both said, Al Jazeera is on Freesat channel 203 and TRT World is on 215. Both channels changed transponder at the end of August but the channel numbers have not changed. Did you follow my suggesting of powering your box off at the mains for a few minutes or looking for a channel scan option in the menu?

stevens, I turn my box off nightly at the mains.
I do not know how to do a scan on freesat, I will have to try.
I get a message on the screen about both these, apparently saying they are no longer there.
Are these the only channels to have changed transponder? The others seem still to be there.

nick: Which model of Freesat box do you have? Most satellite receivers are generally designed to be left in low power standby mode overnight rather than being switched off at the mains, so that could have a bearing on the channels not updating correctly.

Stevens,
It is a Humax pvr.
Are they supposed to update themselves? With freeview we have to do it ourselves.
Thanks to your help, I have now got the two missing channels back
I have nothing between 165 and 200 though. Is this as it should be?
Thanks

nick: All Freesat boxes are designed to update their channel lists automatically, however some older models only do so overnight, so it may be down to you powering your box off overnight when it is designed to be left on in standby mode, that it isn't updating correctly.
The entertainment channels currently go up to 165 then news starts at 200. There is a full list of channels on the online TV guide on Freesat's website at the link below:
