The Transmitter engineering posts about Crystal Palace have been repeated each Monday since the 3rd of October which makes me think that this is just one set of engineering works which is continuing. Am I right? What is the plan for completion of this work? When can I expect my ever deteriorating reception of UHF Channel 30 to return to it's previous level? Can you not provide some information in the post rather than just saying the same thing every week? Or at least include a link to something that tells License payers what is actually going on and when it might end.

Roger: It may well be the same ongoing work, the Crystal Palace transmitter tower is 60+ years old and probably requires extensive ongoing maintenance to ensure it continues to operate in a safe condition. The transmitter engineering posts come from an automated feed provided by BBC Engineering. This is an unofficial help site and unfortunately nobody here has any further information regarding what works are taking place or when they are expected to be completed.
