As the Windermere transmitter is a relay of the main Kendal transmitter is it possible to reposition the aerial to receive a signal fro m Kendal and thus receieve more channels

terry: It depends on your location. It might be possible, enter your postcode at the top right.

I have a guest house with 4 rooms all which have free view digital.
The aerial and cabling have all been recently professionally replaced recently.
In the mornings guest report that the picture can be fragmented (I believe this is called pixelation)
can anything be done to correct this.
The picture is good at other times
The picture is poor when the weather is bad wet/and or windy is this just a feature of the digital signal or can it be fixed?

I receive TV transmissions from a local relay transmitter in Windermere. The number of Freeview channels received is limited compared to other areas of the country. I should be grateful if you would let me know why this is and if there are plans to improve the situation. Thank you.

Donald Clark: This is how it is likely to stay. See here for an explanation:

Unless you can receive from another full-service transmitter, then you won't receive the Commercial (COM) channels. In some areas another region's full-service transmitter can overlap and be used in conjunction with the local relay but the hilly terrain you live in probably rules this out.
Judging by the coverage maps on this site, then if you live high up, then you "might" be able to receive the other channels from Lancaster transmitter.
This isn't the answer you might have been hoping for, but I make this simply as quite possibly the only way, if indeed you are lucky enough to have it as a possibility.
Additional channels are also available via satellite, the main free-to-air service being Freesat.

Your limited language skills show that you are obviously completely ignorant about the effects of engineering work and current weather conditions.
