Ryan: Not sure what I was supposed to make of "alright at lunch time ... then, like that moment last year, turned dire".

Scott: It's not the "bad weather", rain has little effect on terrestrial transmission (unless it gets into your cables), the problem was the High Pressure causing Inversion over distant analogue transmitters. See What is the Inversion Effect and why does it effect my Freeview TV reception?

Brian, Great stuff, problem solved by retuning with aerial lead out, then with it in.
Has this problem been caused by the work being done on the transmitter causing a weak signal? also will picture break up no longer happen when we go fully digital with a full signal strength? Many thanks for your help

Does anyone know why i've suddenly lost all the signals on each of the 5 tv's in the house?
Aerial is 3 months old and the tv's are less than 4 months old.
Could it be transmitter failure?
