GEORGE FAIRHURST: There are no transmission problems, please can you see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice and Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for help.

The Licence Fee pays for the BBC to make and broadcast their content, it does not pay for them to fix your reception problems, that is your responsibility.

GEORGE FAIRHURST: You are around 400 yards from the Largs transmitter which is on or near to Largs Academy on Flatt Road.

A look on Google Streetview shows aerials in your street pointing at the Rothesay transmitter. If yours is as well, then I suggest that the problem is likely to be that your TV has tuned to Largs instead.

If your aerial points at Rothesay, then start the auto-setup scan with the aerial lead unplugged. When the scan gets to 25%, plug it in again. Alternatively, you might be able to manually tune.

Just to let you know there has been no free view transmission from the Largs transmitter since Tuesday evening .I don't know if you were aware of this as there was nothing listed on your engineering site. I have checked with an aerial that the Toward transmitter is operating as this is the feeder for the Largs one and it is ok.
Many thanks
Regard Charles McMurdo

C McMurdo: Have you checked with your neighbours to confirm if they are experiencing the same problem with their Freeview? Are you checking with the same aerial by turning it around, or is this a different aerial? A transmitter being off air for several days would be extremely unusual (particularly one that serves a few thousand homes) but if you've ruled out any problems with your own aerial system you should report it to the Radio & Television Investigation Service (see link below).

Just moved into KA30 8QP and having difficulty sourcing what is and is not available! The Largs transmitter is PS service and provides limited services, or does it? If it does, where do i need to go to get full freeview channels. Which transmitters are available, the capture suggested none!

John Knowles: because you put your postcode into the site, its automatically generated a load of links to data. And yep, your going to get a light transmitter, no matter what.

Just get Freesat.

Satcure.com is a good place to finding out about getting a dish, etc.
