Gary.No probs,glad to assist you !
Then again you could always consider Freesat which gives you obviously more choice than limited Freeview from minor relays that only broadcast PSB multiplexes, but not COM multiplexes due to high cost levels.

I live in Stokenchurch and every time there is mist, fog or prolonged rain my feeeview reception fails. This is particularly annoying when there was never any problem with the old analogue system. Digital transmission was supposed to be better, stronger, more reliable but so far, it's been nothing but weak signals and lost signals month on month. I have to retune my tv on a weekly basis to attract the strongest signal.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nick Taylor-Guy: If the problem is happening during rain or mist then it's quite likely that the rain/moisture is getting in to your aerial system somewhere. If you provide a full postcode then we can see your predicted coverage, which transmitter you're using etc and see what signal strength you should be getting.

As TV reception is so bad where I live, why not pump out all the London Freeview channels over the net under one server location? . No need for players and also it could have a menu page.
Lets be honest, its 2023, not 1923.. and most of us ordinary mortals have fiber internet. Its not as If I haven't got a TV license! I live 25 Miles as the crow flies from Marble Arch, on top of a hill.
Why is this country so hopeless and getting anything right?

Chris Kenney:

If you provide a full postcode (or one for a very close-by shop/pub) we can check your predicted reception and possibly offer further advise.

Is your TV a "smart" TV connected to the internet? A lot of TV channels can be streamed and watched using Apps that are installed on the TV.
