clive: You shouldn't really need a "booster" if you have a rooftop aerial, so you might want to try removing it.

Otherwise, see the Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page.

Gravesend

Greetings,

Over the last couple of weeks, I have lost Dave, ITV4, ITV3, Film 4 and a few other channels that I was previously getting and with excellent reception. I have checked all my cables and gone back to factory settings as per the advice on this site, and whilst that put back a couple of the channels to my list, there was no signal.

I am literally 400 yards from the Gravesend transmitter and I have an aerial on my roof.

I cannot understand what is happening and why the channels I have listed above are not included in the list that are available via Gravesend transmitter at the moment, or after switchover.

Would appreciate some advice please.

Regards

Mike

Mike: The Gravesend transmitter does not have Freeview until 2012, when it will provide only the Freeview Light service.

Can you see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for help with your problem, as you will be using the Crystal Palace transmitter.

Hi
My Aunt don't like buying new stuff, Last year CH54 (yesterday) quality fell to ZERO so was unwatchable Looking at her aerial it points towards a group of mobile phone masts in spitting distance DA1 2AT so i guessed a 4g problem, i bought a cheap 4g filter and amazingly it worked ch54 returned, However the aerial needs to be plugged into the mains before theres a signal and according to the instructions my filter is on the wrong side of amplifying unit which is on the aerial, I am now worried that my wrongly installed 4g filter is not electrically safe and may cause something to overheat or worse case cause a fire is that possibile??
Another problem is since the new channels started on CH32 her old philips box in the bedroom says its found new channels but when you select the new channels to view the box crashes and you have to switch it off and on for it to work again but after a while it says found new channels again and the same thing happens again, she has a identical box linked to a tv downstairs and the new HD channels work fine on that.is there any known cure for the box in the bedroom.
Thanx Nathan
