Hi Briantist, thanks for the info but after reading several pages in this forum i think its strange that the tv that is receiving the digital signals the best happens to be on a loft aerial as opposed to the rooftop one on the other set?

dave A: Your different aerials may not be pointing at the same transmitters.

Hi
I am on Fenton Transmitter and have been for about 2 years using a freeview TV and a freeviw DVD recorder, both worked very well till about a month ago. I live on Meir park which had very poor analogue which is why we changed to digital earlier than we had to. for the last month, I , and at least 4 neighbours all have poor ITV, C4, C5, E4, sometimes so bad its not watchable. BBC seems ok most of the time. Because we all have the same problem we feel it cant be all our equipment. is Fenton transmitting differently since mid may? Do we need to re point aerials to sutton coldfield? thanks

Lisa: Hello Lisa a neighbour of mine has had recent problems with Fenton. She is the only one not on Granada (n/west).Today I spoke to the change over people, on her behalf and they told me there would be engineering work and
reduced signal on and off until 7/9/2011.
this post code is ST10 and is recommended for Freesat. All of the Freeview folks locally are
on high-gain aerials but obviously get no Midlands news.

Lisa: Multiplex 2 did move from C30 to C33 on 20 April, because it would have clashed with high-power signals from The Wrekin. The prediction for that multiplex is poor.
Digital UK's postcode checker shows that Sutton Coldfield will be a better option for you, both now and after switchover.
