JONNY MCCULLOUGH:

To add to my previous, I don't suppose you've moved anything around in your roofspace, especially anything metalic?
Also check you don't have any HDMI leads behind your set running close to aerial or flyleads, especially when the latter aren't quality double screened coax. HDMI can cause interference but especially to C55 - COM7.

E Chartres: RTE1 and RTE2 are broadcast on the NI mux (along with TG4 and RTE's Irish language radio station) from various transmitters in Northern Ireland, including a low power transmitter at Divis, although there is a higher power transmitter nearby at Black Mountain which covers most of Belfast and large parts of the surrounding areas. Most aerials pointed at Divis will also be able to receive the NI mux from Black Mountain, the low power NI mux transmitter at Divis is there to fill in gaps in coverage.

Carl Reade:

Hi Carl. No transmitter issues AFAIK and the BBC haven't got anything listed. The transmitter was listed for Planned Engineering w/c 13/12/21.
There has been some tropo around however, some the last few days but that should now have cleared. There was also some for around a whole week in mid-December which didn't clear until after the 23rd. HTH.

The information for Divis appears to be out of date.
NIMM (RTE etc) etc is on 33
I cannot find com 7 in Bangor, its certainly not on 33, unless there is a problem with my receiver
Can anyone tell me the channel number for com 7?

Tony: COM7 is broadcast from Divis on UHF channel 55, it is not available from any other transmitter in Northern Ireland and is due to close at the end of June when it's licence expires.

Tony:

It's the "transmission frequencies change over time" section that has the main errors that the site owner has not "clarified". The main section at the top of the page is correct other than the channel for the Local Belfast LBT mux which is C36 not C30.
All the channels are listed correctly in this post Divis (Northern Ireland) Full Freeview transmitter | free and easy
but also note that Arqiva closed COM8 for commercial reasons at the end of June 2020.

COM7 has been recently mentioned in these posts -

Tony:
NVTV (TV Ch7) is on Mux ch 36 (NIMM 594GHz). In Killyleagh I get 100% strength from a communal 21 element Mux Master with a (11dBi gain). The 100% reading on my Samsung is somewhat arbitary, I don't know what signal strength it relates to. The Divis details show a transmitter power of 5kW. Given such a strong signal I doubt if it is that low.

Some parts of Bangor are in a shadow. You can check using a line-of-sight tool (such as on Solwise).

COM7 is Mux 55 and contains Freesports, PBS, BBC News HD. It needs a HD tuner. 100% signal in Killyleagh.

The TV Channel numbers, as shown in the TV Guide, change frequently and can move to another Mux, but the big ones don't.

Try to find signal information on your TV. It is often hidden away. On my Samsung it is settings>support>device care> self diagnosis and not in the tuning menu where you'd expect. LG is easier.

Let's know how you get on.
