Hi,
I have problem on all the ITV, chanel 4 & 5, most digital chanels except the BBC chanels seem to be affected. Loss of pixels, break up, freezing, so bad you can not watch them.
The chanels do not seem to be affected in the day, its seems to be around 7pm and after. It is impossible to watch the chanels, let alone record them!
my post code is SL7 2NY, if this helps.
I am getting a little fed up with this now and wonder if anything can be done. I have re-tuned the set & the weather seems to make little difference! The problem seems to have got worse since Julyish.
I look forward to your help.
Thank you,
Christine Winstanley

@Christine Winstanley, my MUX 2 reception has got a lot worse recently too. It's gone from being perfect to completely unusable. However, my reception is predicted to be a lot worse than yours.
Thus, firstly try what Brian says, then check all your connectors, remove any boosters and then try again. If this doesn't work, check the condition of the aerial to see whether it has fallen apart.
You have a little line of sight problem according to wolfbane. Also, your field strength is only predicted to be around 30dBuV, thus I would not expect perfect reception at your location, at least not until switchover.

We live in SE13 5AP and receive from Crystal Palace. Aerial is on the roof with splitter in the loft. Never had any problems before. Last night, we noticed that we'd lost freeview ITV1, Ch4, Ch5 and others. I've explored this website and can see they're all on the same multiplex. Other channels seem fine. So I've read the page on Single Channel Interference, but we've not installed or turned on any new video equipment recently. I tried retuning a set, but it just omitted the missing channels completely. There's just no or no effective signal. It's the same on all TVs in the property (all fed from same aerial and splitter).
Apparently no problems or work with the trasmitter.
So, does anyone have any ideas? Could this be a physical problem with my aerial, co-ax, splitter? But then would not all channels be suffering?
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Tim: You're under 4 miles from the transmitter. Maybe the problem is that the signal is too strong and overloading your TVs. See this page for more info:
