Perfect reception of all BBC channels broadcast on UHF 60 via Beacon Hill until Saturday lunchtime 12/11/2016. Since then at best the sketchiest but usually NO signal until now. Please can you tell me who operates this transmitter so I can report the problem as Digital UK claim all channels are transmitting well. The other 4 channels appear to have normal signal strength but all BBC programmes have been missing all weekend.

Please please please let me know to whom I should report faults...

Dave Barber: Transmitter faults should be reported to the broadcaster concerned, however as there are no other reports of any faults with the transmitter it's much more likely that there is either a fault with your aerial system or you're suffering from local interference. Start by checking for loose connections, damaged cables etc behind the TV then work back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. Also make sure that any HDMI cables are well separated from the aerial cable as HDMI cables are a notorious source of interference.

Hello.
I have a holiday lodge at Ladram Bay (between Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth).
There is a nearby site mini tv transmitter which presumably gets its feed direct from Beacon Hill or possibly from Budleigh Salterton.
I can get all channels very clearly without any breakup except those carried by channel 33.
So I cannot get for example BBC News HD or BBC Four HD.
Why is this and what can be done?
Thank you.

Graham Bastin: Check your signal strength - too high or too low/ If high, see 'tto much of a good thing', if too low, then check your system

Graham Bastin:

To determine which transmitter you are using we need a full post code for your location. Without that information it is impossible to assist in any meaningful way.

Graham:

No frequency changes have been announced as yet for any TV or DAB transmitter. Later this year a rolling programme of TV frequency changes is due to start and will last well into next year.

You should still be getting exactly the same service from the DAB transmitter as before and likewise the TV transmissions of Freeview.

Can anyone please help. We recently inherited a TV with a built in DTV module that picks up the D3&4, SDN, and arqa multiplexes fine. But I cannot get it to find the BBCA multiplex for the life of me.
I have tried to manually enter the frequency of 785.8 in the transponder list but it won't save (might require the stream id and network)
The TV in question is fed from a new aerial that works perfectly fine on our other 2 spSamsung TVs.
What step shall I take next? A filter? A booster?
Very frustrating as I can't find the answers anywhere online.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
(I am picking up a strong signal from Beacon Hill transmitter)

Devon Dad:

To try to help, we need to know exactly the make and model of the TV in question and a full post code please. That way we can check the user manual and features of the TV set as well as checking the reception conditions at your exact location, even though two other TVs are working fine.

It would also help to know what the signal strengths are for the different multiplexes you can receive. Having too strong a signal can be as bad as it being too weak.

Different makes and models of TV perform differently - even those from the same manufacturer, hence the need for the exact make and model number.

Note also that there has been significant reception problems across the country due to high pressure weather systems passing through and they disrupt normal reception, often of just a single multiplex.
