I live in north somerset and cant pick up ITV west on my goodmans tv anymore, I can only pick up the Welsh programmes. Ive tried to auto tune but can only get 83% and then it stops. Ive tried tuning manually but its just not picking up the wests channels. Seems I can get all the 'adult' ones I dont want but not the ones I do want!!!

S Williams: Try running the automatic tuning scan with the aerial unplugged up until 63%. You may have to manually add C48 for ITV3 etc.

I receive my TV signals from Rowridge which is reported to have no known problems and should now be transmitting four HD channels.
I have retuned two HD TV's and a BT Vision box none of which find the HD transmissions which I believe should be on CH 50,51,52 & 54.
Is there a problem at Rowridge ?

Trying to install an aerial in the loft of my house. However i cannot get a signal at all. Even though an indoor aerial downstairs gets a signal. Please help. I am using a high gain wide band aerial from b n q. Trying to point at the belmont transmitter from great gonerby.

todd: Having tuned the set in that you're using when setting up your aerial, check that it is tuned to Belmont for all its channels and not another station such as Waltham which would appear to be very strong in Great Gonerby.
For each of the following, check the signal strength screen and ensure that it is tuned to Belmont:
BBC One = C22
ITV1 = C25
BBC One HD = C28
ITV3 = C30
Pick TV = C53
Yesterday = C60
You should not have Waltham whose channels are:
BBC One = C61
ITV1 = C54
BBC One HD = C58
ITV3 = C29
Pick TV = C56
Yesterday = C57
Try pointing the aerial in the direction of Belmont from a first floor window.
Maybe the roof tiles are affecting the signal too much. I read on here comments about some modern tiles having greater metallic content which inhibits signals.

todd: If you are located on the top of Gonerby Road hill or even on the down side of it provided its the side leading to the Downtown store, then you should have no problems whatsoever receiving Belmont, if though you are on the South side of the hill leading towards Grantham then you could experience problems in some areas around there, albeit Waltham is OK.

Hi I live in Christchurch and appear to be having problems receiving any channels that are (Or should be) broadcast on ARQ A and ARQ B, IS anyone else having these problems or can they suggest a solution, everything was OK before we went full digital.
Thanks

MRW: The transmission power of the Commercial multiplexes from Rowridge, which include ArqA and ArqB, will increase on 18th April.
I am note sure whether there were any changes to ArqA and ArqB that would have been to your detriment that took place on 21st March.
There is probably little you can do in the mean time as well as little point as the situation will change on 18th April.

Hi, I own a Humax Digital Recorder HDR-FOX T2, however, since the 2011 retunes in my area (Postcode NG31 7FJ, Waltham transmitter) reception on the Humax Freeview unit hasnt been very good. The Humax unit worked perfectly well up until last years retunes with good reception on all channels but since then the reception on various channels (including QVC, Yesterday and Channel 5 + 1 to name a few) is terrible with the picture and sound breaking up. Sometimes the picture is so bad its unwatchable and I often receive a screen message saying there is nothing being broadcast on the channel or its being scrambled. (I also own a Samsung DVD Recorder which is connected to the same TV and reception on ALL channels is good. My aerial is approximately 3 years old and is fitted with a booster.) Unfortunately Im not very technical so please can you offer some advice. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks & kind regards,
Wendy Leak
