Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire, England) mast?

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

No HBB & Northants DAB mux from this site yet. What a disappointment Seems crazy that a big rural part of Herts gets a service from Epping Green straight away, while the biggest population centres of Hemel, St. Albans & Watford are stuck using FM/AM.

Gtibb: HBB & Northants is broadcast from Bow Brickhill, Epping Green, Sandy Heath and
Zouches Farm.
The planning document - http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf - does list the Hemel Hempstead transmitter as part of the plan, along with Chepping Wycombe.

In marshalswick, St Albans the London 1 multiplex does not have very good signal and there is usually a lot of bubbling noises even though marshalswick is in the London 1 range.
Are there any suggestions to why this happens
Thanks

At long last HBB & Northants has arrived. Pity about the amount of duplicated services with London 1, 2 & 3, but at ;east I can get BBC 3CR now without resorting to FM.

Hi,
Here in SW London my Pure DAB has, since 1st Jan, auto-scanned the HDD,N'hants Mux with all 8 stations.
The signal maybe low but the Signal Quality is 90% with no 'gargling' and while high-pressure is dominant I suspect some strange atmospherics.
I do add however that when switching on the nearby Freeview STB these stations then read: 'Station not available'.
Can you enlighten?
Many thanks,
Tony

Since Boom Radio went from DAB to DAB+ the signal is now stuttering. I have tried to find the location of the DAB Multiplex with no success. There appears to be no way of searching for a service (radio station) on the Ofcom site to find the transmitter location. I'm using an outside 3 element DAB aerial and wondering which direction to point it to receive Boom Radio without errors. It looks like the St. Albans or High Wycombe direction. Can you advise please? of tell me how this information is found? Radio reports mux 11A2 16.92 but this brings nothing up on a google search.

Adrian: You haven't said where you are so the best I can do is list the transmitters broadcasting the SDL National multiplex which carries Boom Radio, which might be receivable in the areas you mention:
Hemel Hempstead
Zouches Farm
Bow Brickhill
If you reply with your actual location, somebody may be able to offer more specific advice.

Adrian:
As StevensOnln1 has said without s location - a full postcode - he's listed what are the most likely transmitter locations for you as you've posted here on the Hemel Hempstead DAB page, unfortunately the site software has autolinked the name to the Freeview page rather than here!
Boom Radio is indeed on the SDL Multiplex which is Block 11A: 216.928 MHz
If you received this multiplex before, Boom Radio's change to DAB+ really shouldn't make any difference, however you may not be pointing your aerial in the best direction.
Putting your postcode here Postcode checker - Digital Radio UK should tell you if you can receive it (and other stations on that multilex) on a portable receiver.
