Are you aware RT has been blocked online in the UK?
Why would that happen, and who has the right to decide which websites the people of the UK can visit?

Brian Butterworth: Seems like all countries except for the UK and USA have been blocked on this website.
Given that 99 percent of the "spam" comes with a USA flag, it might help if that country was blocked too.
Also, the incentive to post this stuff might be lessened if the "Your site or @twitter" field was removed.

I don't watch it much, but have just checked and it is still available on satellite.

Chris.SE:The prediction for his location as given in earlier messages is excellent! Perhaps there is an obstruction to the line of sight which renders that prediction invalid, or local interference at weekends, or some fault with his aerial system?

The BBC has been pushing their iplayer like there's no tomorrow.
It seems obvious to me that they are intent on charging the licence fee for internet connection.

StevensOnln1: Thanks for that, and the link. You are obviously very well informed, which makes me wonder if you have an official position in this area, rather than merely being a tv user like me.
I have to say, the requirement for a licence to "watch TV live on any streaming service (e.g. ITVX, Channel 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now TV, Sky Go)" is a surprise to me.
Looking on YouTube, all I could find as "live streams" were Sky News, GB News and TalkTV! I need a licence for those?

Chris.SE: Well, I agree that RT will not be allowed back, but your rejection of political considerations is, let's say, interesting.
I had thought you might have something better to say, but gave up on the Great British population in general, after seeing what witless wonders and clueless cretins they were during the Falklands war.
That experience will never be forgotten by me!
As for the reason RT was taken off-air, I agree with George Galloway - "too many people were watching it" and "they don't like it up 'em" - the truth, that is!
