Mike Dimmick: I did suspect that it will be actually BBC TWO analogue that gets taken off air two months early, and ITV1 analogue will swap to BBC2.

But that would not fit the usual plan, as ITV1 analogue would then have to go off air to make way for the BBCA multiplex on C55- during the two weeks between DSO1 and DSO2.

I have to agree with your comment "Ofcom are ... letting the broadcasters do whatever they want and not keeping up with the paperwork. "

It was bad enough when MuxD was going into 64QAM mode at low power levels, which was to provide Sky Sports for BT.

But doing the same to MuxC for a couple of low rent channels on transmitters where there is no power increase is intolerable - especially as Digital UK are claiming to the press and public that this does not happen.

Of course, there were always going to be issues with the COM multiplexes because of the issues around it being a "secondary network", and frequencies being pulled for 4G and DDR.

Even though, of course, 4G and DDR frequencies are going to remain "out to tender" for some time to come.

What really gets my goat is all the "official" data that is published as bloody PDFs so I can't ever import it, I have to manually check the documents, and of course the errors like the all important line in the http://licensing.ofcom.org.uk/binaries/tv/sup_dso/digital-stations-v4.pdf document being cut off.

Mendip: "Mendip SDN and Arqiva A will temporarily operate on channels 62+ and 56+ respectively (both at 10kW ERP) until September 2011. Final DSO channels will then be adopted, though ERP levels will remain limited until early 2012. Arqiva B will operate on channel 59+ (10kW ERP) until January 2011, when it will move to channel 67 at 26kW ERP until September 2011. Arqiva B's final DSO channel will then be adopted, though ERP will remain limited until early 2012."

Oxford: DSO2 is Wednesday 28th September 2011. However, "Arqiva A will temporarily use channel 34 (10kW) between the first and second stages of switchover at Oxford.
SDN, ArqA and ArqB restricted to 12.5kW after switchover until further notice."

June 2012 is when the "Meridian" region switches over, freeing up frequencies for the COM multiplexes, see UK Digital switchover simulation | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Richard Davis: I think I understand now.
South East Today is a programme designed for Kent and East Sussex and comes from Tunbridge Wells, and not the "London" service which comes from the capital.
This isn't the old "Newsroom Southeast" service which once covered London AND Kent/East Sussex AND Oxford. These are now three distinct different services.
It is, as I said, the service that everyone in Brighton already gets on cable and satellite.
Brighton is the most populated city in the NSE area and get much higher billing that it does on South Today.
Please compare "Newsroom Southeast" - BBC South East map | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - with "London" region BBC London map | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice and also BBC South BBC South map | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Five minutes in, a report from outside Brighton Police station. 12 minutes in a report about Brighton and Hove Albion.

As I said the service was created back in 2001 to cover Kent and East Sussex.
