matt: You can't just attach speakers to a set, you will need an external amplifier. This will connect using either a stereo-out pair, or for modern equipment, a SPDIF connection.

Piers: The digital services still require a line-of-sight to the transmitter from the aerial and to be free of interference. There's not much you can do about that, due to the physics of transmission.

J.Purkis: The law says that Sky can't charge you to watch the free-to-air public service channels.
That aside, Sky will do whatever maximizes their profits, that being the purpose of the company.

Des Collier: I understand that ITV1+1 will start next Tuesday. The "ITV Preview" on multiplex A/COM4/SDN will become "ITV2+1" from that point.

Lindsey: You will have a "single LNB" on your dish, to supply the existing box (as you don't have Sky+).
To add more in, you will need to change that for a quad-LNB. This isn't tricky, but aligning the dish to the satellite does require skills and a satellite signal meter.
For this reason, you might find a professional installer a good value choice.

michael: The plan is for FM to be for non-commercial radio. In most areas DAB coverage is good for local and regional services, with the exeptions listed on the DAB local radio gaps | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
The problem for DRM is that in a world with global satellite TV coverage, there is little need for DRM/AM services, as they provide such low bitrates.
