steve: You might need to get your aerial checked, you should be able to get a good service from Brierley Hill and Sutton Coldfield - and by 28 September all services from The Wrekin.

carol summers: You may have too strong a signal now. If you have any boosters or amplifiers, try removing them. If you don't, you might have to fit an attenuator (they cost about a fiver). You did not supply a postcode so it is hard to be specific.

G Jackson: Basically, yes, you need to use either the Sutton Coldfield or Winter Hill transmitters if you want reliable reception.
