Elaine: You won't see any HD channels on a Sky box unless it is a Sky+HD box.
All you need to do is stop your Sky subscription and switch to Freesat. You can buy a Freesat HD box from a high street store.

vinyldj: Boosters won't help with digital reception, if there is no stable digital signal, a booster can't re-create one.
To be honest, you might just want to wait for Wednesday 22nd June 2011, when the high power signals start.
Bit hard to say more without a full postcode.

Kay: If you have damaged cables, the strongest signals can still get though.
With digital you either get the whole working multiplex, or nothing.

tony: Your strongest signals come from Crystal Palace, and you should be getting very good reception.
Did you use satellite-grade cable to connect the aerial to the first TV point?

Nick: You shouldn't have to do anything. The source HD material might be interlaced, it might be progressive, it depends on the content.
HD means 720-line and above. "Full HD" means 1080-line and above.
Just connect the box to the TV with HDMI and the devices will use the best possible resolution.
