Below are all of StevensOnln1's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Rob Laidlet: The transmitter engineering post directly above yours warms of planned engineering work affecting Bilsdale this week. It may be worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV as common problems like this can cause the signal strength to drop below a usable level when the transmitter power is reduced during engineering work. Do not attempt to retune.

Chris.SE: I'm seeing loads of spam, this page in particular seems to be heavily targeted. I'm also still having to use the EE 4G SIM in my tablet to post comments as the site still appears to think my 500Mbps full fibre broadband is located in Turkey.

Paul: The posts above yours warn of engineering work affecting the Aberdare transmitter over the last few weeks. Unfortunately no completion date is given. It may be worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connectors behind your TV which is a common cause of weakened signal, but do not attempt to retune.

Lynn Gradwell: The Winter Hill transmitter has been affected by planned engineering work over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately no completion date is given. It may be worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, which is a common cause of weakened signal and shows up more easily when the transmitter is running at reduced power during engineering work. Do not attempt to retune.

Gerry Tivers: ITV1 HD has not yet been fully regionalised on Freeview, this has been said elsewhere to be due to ITV waiting for existing contracts to expire. ITV1 HD is broadcast on the PSB3 multiplex alongside BBC1 HD, BBC2 HD, Channel 4 HD, Channel 5 HD and a few others. ITV1 SD is broadcast on the PSB2 multiples alongside Channel 4 SD, Channel 5 SD, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, ITV Be, E4, More 4, Film 4, etc which is fully regionalised for both ITV1 and Channel 4.

Mr J K: It's been automatically transcribed by Google Cloud, which is stated at the end. There is also a link to the original podcast it was transcribed from at the top of the page.

Roger: It may well be the same ongoing work, the Crystal Palace transmitter tower is 60+ years old and probably requires extensive ongoing maintenance to ensure it continues to operate in a safe condition. The transmitter engineering posts come from an automated feed provided by BBC Engineering. This is an unofficial help site and unfortunately nobody here has any further information regarding what works are taking place or when they are expected to be completed.

nick horrex: It's down to money. Broadcasting a channel on Freeview costs millions of pounds a year, whereas streaming a channel via the internet costs a fraction of that and is a more affordable way for smaller channels to reach relatively low numbers of viewers.

Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?
