Why am I quite frequently getting no signal from the Leek Transmitter ( think this comes from Sutton Coldfield ) This getting to be a regular occurence I checked the BBC transmitter web page but you don't get an answer why? Can anyone enlighten me?

I know that BBC transmitter problems tell you that your transmitter is off line but why can't they tell you why it is

Should I be able to get the new Channel 4 channel I live in Leek N. Staffs which as I understand is classed as a Freeview Light area served by the Sutton Coldfield transmitter.I keep getting messages to re tune my set but have tried and usually get automatic updates for other channels when they become available.

If I have a Tv with built in freeview Should I get an automatic update for the new channel 4 7 channel I usually get automatic updates and do not have to retune my Panasonic TV should this be the case with this new channel I am on Sutton Coldfield transmitter in Leek so is this new channel not yet available in this area as it is a 'light' transmitter area not direct from Sutton Coldfield It does not make it clear whether this new channel is available in all areas.

Thanks Dave for your reply I have found the replies posted in answer to my previous question about the new Channel 4 channel and the 'light transmitter' I guess the only way round it is to buy a freesat box - I can then get ITV4 as well to watch the Tour de France - at present need to use my laptop.

BT Sport have offered free viewing for 2 weeks for Freeview customers. Followed instructions and tried manual tune ch57 to no avail - is there a reason BT have replied asking a couple of questions which I answered but no reply. Can you help I was going to subscribe to BT B/band so can view BT sport for nothing but if I can't receive it in my area there is no point - would be easier to get Sky bundle

Why am I unable to get BT Sport with Freeview - BT offering 2 wks free viewing for people with Freeview BT/TV & Virgin Media I manually tried to retune using ch57 as BTSport advised & after 3 attempts gave up BT have not replied to explain why I couldn't receive BT Sport..I was going to change to BT broadband so I could view BTSport for free but now unsure if I can't get it.I know ST13 6QF is in a light transmitter area is this why.Can you help?
