Why is it necessary to broadcast Talking Pictures only on the HD format and not on SD for the benefit of all potential viewers? Also why should there not be an SD outlet for all freeview channels?

Nick Anderson: Talking Pictures is a commercial broadcaster so it is up to them to decide what format they broadcast in and what level of coverage they want for their channel (subject to available broadcast capacity). Being on the temporary COM7 multiplex the channel is available to approximately 70% of households at a much lower cost to the broadcaster than broadcasting in SD on COM4/5/6 with 90% coverage.

John Wakeman: Check if you have all the channels for that transmitters mux as well. If the transmitter is broadcasting it, then as long as you have an HD tuner, you should have it.
