We have Freeview Plus but for some reason we cannot record Film4 is there a reason for this?

Becky: I'm not quite sure what you mean by this? Can you set recordings that do not happen, or are unable to set a recording.
I would try this My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Hi I live in Bury and my local transmitter is winter Hill (lancashire), around Crimbo especially I noticed the poor quality in recieving Film 4. So much so the Godfather trilogy all failed to record (PVR) just black screen. Normal view of this channel comes up with poor quality. Historically I have had no problems. Since I retuned my freeview boxes, neither of them have film4, Viva or channel4 music. I use a roof top aerial for lounge and cheapo TV aerial in bedroom TV. Is there a reason for this.

Hi Briantist, i'm using a PVR, freeview device with inbuilt hard-drive to record tv programmes. reading some of the messages it could be my PS3. I will undertake a series of tests today.
Your link mentiones blocking the RF signal. unsure how you mean. would this be the HDMI lead to the TV or the wireless link to home broadband. Eureka, could the home wireless broadband be broadcasting on a frequency that is disrupting mux D ??
Note to all, your broadband router should have an option to change the wireless freqency. they are usually in channel numbers or frequency ranges :)

Dave: It is unlikely, unless you locate your wireless router on top of your Freeview box, that it would cause problems.

Calne
Posted Tuesday 18th January.
Hi.
I live in Calne, Wiltshire and i got a professional person to come and move the aerial to face the Mendip Transmitter last summer, 2010.
It was previously facing towards the Calne transmitter but you could never get channel 5 on it, not until Sky and Freeview came along.
So being pointed towards the Mendip Transmitter i thought i would get a better selection and quality of channels available to watch which weren't available just on Freeview. Channels like Dave, More 4, Fiver, Yesterday etc..
All was fine until around October time when then most of category C channels which included (Dave, E4, Sky 3, etc..) went, as the signal got really bad and all you got was a badly pixelated picture, and unwatchable.
Turning on to watch Film4 today, all i get is a total black screen and my tv says 'no signal'.
I don't think there is anything else, which i can do to change things and make the channels come back, but if anyone has any suggestions to help, i'm open to hear them.
I would also be interested to hear if anyone else is having the same level of channel decrease and unavailability as i am.
Kind Regards

Just installed new Tv for a friend and she complained that she had lost her Film4 channel from her Sony Freeview Recorder. this is on Sutton Coldfield about 15 Miles North.
Checked and retuned and is missing. Checked on her new Ferguson 19" which I had also installed for her and found that Channel 15 from Sutton Coldfield was just visible but on very low power giving a very poor signal. Whats up? Is it a consequence on the Switch over preps?#
I've also checked my Topfield PVR and it's gone from their as well. Also on my Samsung.

Five minutes later. Just checked again tonight and it seems to be back! Why don't they put some info up if they are running on reduced power on one channel?
