I am no longer able to get Dave it seems.
This is very annoying as it is usually the alternative to there being nothing watchable on BBC or anywhere else (Channel 5 is a total waste of space !)
Does anyone know what to do ?
I have an aerial engineer booked for monday from Freeview, but I don't hold out much hope.

JR: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Which transmitter are you using? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

Same thing here - can't watch Dave as 'no signal', but other channels are fine. We're in ME19 6NW, so not far from previous poster. No loose or damaged cables.

Make sure you are tuned to either Hannington if your aerial points roughly west or to Crystal Palace if it points roughly east. The channels used by those transmitters is given in the 'digital uk trade' link below your post or by putting your post code into the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Coverage Checker - Detailed View
You may also need to check that your aerial connections are in good condition, try unplugging all the aerial connections you can get to and then refitting them.

Although I can get Dave and all other channels through freeview, the channel breaks up after moments and becomes impossible to watch. It was fine up until the recent retune required in the area - all other channels are fine.
Postcode is TN6 2SA

Look at the 'digitaluk trade' link below your post (it's at Coverage Checker - Detailed View and check which transmitter you are tuned to. It would seem that Though Bluebell Hill is listed first, it is not ideal as some multiplexes are predicted to have variable or poor reception.
You may do better to use either Crystal Palace or Tunbridge Wells transmitter - but you will need to be using a wideband aerial (which you should already be using for Bluebell Hill anyway - if you're not then that does not help your reception). Note that you would not get COM7 or COM8 from either of those transmitter sources.
