Two new national Freeview slots permitted
Broadcast reports that approval has been given for the two new "national" Freeview slots.
As reported here on 27th Oct 2009, Two new Freeview channels - almost everywhere the two post-switchover slots on the Arqiva multiplexes will be combined into a single sale with the two slots cleared by the BBC from Multiplex B.
Hopefully the auction will start soon and two new TV channels will be start for everyone (except those on the Public Service Freeview Lite transmitters).

Can you please update your pages with the year 2020 at the top so we can understand what we are seeing. We really want to know what is happening now! Not 2019 or even further back!
I would like to see an up to date list of today's channels and when the NEW updates will be due.
Thank you
Jenny

Jenny Game:
This particular page is a historical page and unlikely to receive any update. Also as the site owner has not had time to keep all the current transmitter pages up-to-date with the changes resulting from the 700MHz clearance, a number of other updates may not happen for some time.
As an independent help site, if you need help with reception or other technical problems, please post on the relevant transmitter page with a full postcode. If you just want to read about Freeview and what they are doing then it may be best to visit Freeview | All your favourite TV shows, all in one place and all for free

To add to the above, if you want to know which channels are on which multiplex, see
Channel listings | Freeview
Service updates | Freeview can sometimes be a useful page, however it is not always updated in a timely manner and with the covid-19 situation the entry for 16 March 2020 has not been updated and is misleading as all remaining retunes for the 700MHz clearance have been postponed (until 2021 tbc).
Planned engineering works | Freeview is another page worth keeping an eye on.
