Briantist: Hi, Brian. I thought I would let you know that another tranche of BBC Local Radio stations on Freeview goes live this coming Tuesday, 21st June, following those added this Tuesday just gone, Tuesday 14th. June. They seem to have got into the routine of a batch per week! I'm assuming they'll have "done 'em all" by the end of the month" Here's the link once again:-

Richard Cooper: Thanks. I've taken the data from http://downloads.bbc.co.u….pdf and added it to the database. This means all the stations appearing on Tuesday are now showing.

Why is it that some regional radio stations on Freeview are only available to their local area and not nationally? For example, living here in Kent, I'd like to get the Yorkshire and Gloucestershire channels... and can't

Simon Sheppard: Because the BBC don't have capacity to add all their local radio stations to every area, when relatively few people outside of the station's area will be interested in listening. You can listen to any BBC local radio station online via BBC - iPlayer Radio - All Stations or via the BBC iPlayer Radio app on a smart phone or tablet.
