Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Mow Cop (Staffordshire, England) mast?

No problems on any service. BBC

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Hi,

I love my DAB radio but since th changes in signal that seems to coincide with th 4G up grade??? or what ever it was that made us re boot our TV's programs??? I know have a 9 to 10% bit error rate on my radio...
This at th moment has'nt upset my enjoyment as blocking and popping has'nt occured. But if it does do it'll be such a shame.

Kind Regards

Phil (Kidsgrove area).

Would someone please inform me how I can find
out from which transmitter my current DAB signals originate.
I have five quality radios which are not always in sync.
The MUX is obvious but this does not help with the positioning of my aerials.
My FM reception is from Lancashire, Manchester, Sheffield, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham, The Wrekin, Liverpool and of course Stoke on Trent.

Maurice Prime:

I'd suggest you start by reading up on the technology so you understand your question. SFN's don't work as you assume they do. In the end you need to to start to think about things as they are, not as they did years ago.
