By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.
(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).
UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

florence: If your not getting a signal at all, the first thing to check is that the aerial lead is properly attached to the TV, and that your aerial is working properly.
Crystal Palace reports no problems, and your position indicates you should have an excellent signal.

florence: If, as it would appear, you are connected into a communal aerial system then you should really have checked with a neighbour or some other person local to yourself before having carried out the retune, as its possible that others may well be experiencing similar problems to yourself if a fault has developed in the aerial distribution system.
However, you having retuned your TV has created the situation whereby you will have to repeat this operation (on possibly more than one occasion) in order to recover the channels that have been deleted, otherwise they would simply have returned of their own accord.

We have three digi boxes and a digital TV. On one of the digi boxes (and only one) we have had the message for sometime that Film 4 is moving and if you are watching on cannel 15 you should retune. Re-tuning made no difference and the message remained. Then Film 4 disappeared for this one digi box only, so I retuned and it is now on cannel 801 (?). However the Tv and remaining boxes still have Film 4 on channel 15. What the hell is going on?

Andrew Ellis: Some TV's or boxes require a "first time installation" to be carried out rather than the standard auto-tune which in some instances fails to completely clear the tuners memory of any remnants of channels stored in it, "first time installation" being described on some brands as "factory reset" / "default settings" or some similar sounding term.
However, before carrying out the aforementioned procedure you could try another auto-tune "but with the aerial removed", once completed which might result in a "no signal" or "no channels stored" message, reconnect the aerial and carry out a second auto-tune.

your site is very confusing. I want to manually install the channels from the Hutton Weston super mare transmitter. If we auto scan we get Welch channels. we want West as in Bristol. I found some numbers on your site and typed them in but there was no signal. What are the numbers we need to enter?

Robert Keedwell: The channels used by Hutton's PSB only station are BBC (Ch59) - ITV1 (Ch50) - HD service (Ch55), if though nothing is indicated on the signal strength bar when you enter "but before pressing search" on either C59 or C50 then are you sure that you within range of this transmitter? as it does not radiate in an omni-directional pattern but biased towards the East and West, the highest output being towards the East.
