Our community association has received some complaints in the TQ2 5SZ area about the television service being broadcast from the Torquay Town transmitter in Torbay over the past few days. A poor quality signal has been reported resulting in intermittent loss of sound and picture break up. The problem does not affect viewers in the area who changed their aerials to alternate transmitters that offer a larger number of freeviewchannels since digital switchover or subscribed to Sky or Virgin media. However this particular transmitter normally provides an excellent service in the area for people who are happy with a handful of channels and can also get results using an indoor aerial. Could this transmitter have developed a fault following recent bad weather?
