Below are all of roy in southend's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Whatever system we have there should be a cull of the bloated BBC management and production. Outsourcing program making and buying in programs from independent makers should be the norm.
There is no reason why particular time bands could not be sponsored by commercial advertisers, although those interests should not be allowed to influence program content.
And just how many channels does BBC need?

We've have just completed switchover here in Southend on Sea, Essex. Everything is fine, great pictures, strong signal, except for one oddity. I pick up ITV Anglia news, as I expect, but my neighbour in the SAME block, using the SAME communal aerial picks up ITV London news, which he doesn't want. We've spent time retuning, but can only repeat this odd situation. Can anyone explain how we pick up different transmitters for the same channel, same aerial?
