Thanks, I thought much the same as you but wondered if there is an issue with low power on Mux b as I see no level drop at all on the other muliplexes. I wondered if anyone else had experienced this as I dont think all engineering work is reported.

HI Richard
I get exactly the same results re aspect ratio on my Samsung tv watching BBC HD from Sandy Heath

Are PSB 1,2 & 3 actually transmitting at 180kw now? my observations of signal levels at several sites suggest not.
I also believe CH67 at 20kw 64qam is not satisfactory.

Re powers from Sandy Heath. Russ your comments support what I see, come spring 2012 we'll see who is right.
On another subject, wrong aspect ratio on BBC HD on Samsung TV. I have done some research and found the BBC are switching between 1080i and 1080p on BBC HD. This is causing Sony Bravia TVs to suffer audio drop out and seems to be making my Samsung switch to 4:3 when 1080p tx'd

Briantist Re 1080i/1080p switch.
If you go to the BBC R & D blog it appears there is no firmware update for this from Sony yet. Toshiba & Samsung sets also are affected in different ways.
I expect it will be a drawn out discussion as to wether or not the set manufacturers are implimenting the freeview spec.

I am a little confused to see tv analogue working normally from Sandy Heath.
Has this not been switched off?

Can we now take it Sandy Heath is transmitting on it's final frequencies, power and aerial, i.e. now more changes so it would be safe to assume this is a good point to set up an aerial and receiver.
It seems odd there was no engineering work prior to the transitional aerial change over.

I am right in thinking some years ago the ERP from this transmitter was double that of now?
