Brian Jonson: As shown at the top of the page, multiplex BBCA at 50kW has replaced the old Mux1 BBC service at 20kW at Hannington.

However, at your location you are using the Crystal Palace transmitter and will see no changes until 4th/18th April when the signal go from 20kW to 200kW.

Andy Fraser: According to Digital UK there are no directional restrictions on the high power digital services.

"Following switchover and related technical events the Hannington primary transmitter will provide a new omni-directional feed to match current analogue coverage and give good reception in Basingstoke. This follows the removal of the current Freeview footprint constraint that protects Guildford analogue coverage."

Andy Fraser: There's no need for the restrictions to stay in place as the PSB digital services will be using the channel number allocations of the analogue services. The COMs will continue with their restrictions until 18 April 2012, as above.

Price/Emma/Ant: Please do this My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - if you are not using the "full service" Freeview tranmitter but a relay, you may have to wait until 3pm to get the services.

Also, it is worth nothing that the increased signal strength can cause problems - see Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
