Mitchell: You could have checked at ukdigitalradio: Coverage before you bought it. As I recall, as I had a DAB phone when I was last in Darley Dale, only that national BBC service can be received at the moment.

Steve Beane: I'm guessing you mean the . - UA40D5500RR - LED TV - television | SAMSUNG ?

If so, it doesn't have Freesat built in, so yes, you will need a Freesat HD or Freesat+HD box to watch Freesat.

However, to watch Eurosport UK on satellite in the UK you will have to subscribe to Sky HD.

David: If the above procedures do not work, then the explanation is that you don't have a signal.

This might be because:

1) The receiver is damaged. If you can borrow another box and connect it to your existing cable, you can work this out.

2) The dish has been moved or damaged. If this is the case you will need to get it realigned or replaced.

3) Your cables are damaged. You should inspect the satellite cable - with the box's power supply off - to see if there is a problem.

Tim: You might, if you have Freeview HD (or BT Vision) and happen to be in the right place, say Fishguard, you might get a signal.

The Saorview satellite service isn't going to be on the same satellites as used for UK services, so you would be able to get it, having a suitable dish and receiver, but you can't just add it to a Sky/Freesat setup.

Steve Pollard: Just stop paying Sky and use the box to watch "Freesat from Sky", fSfS. There is no need to use Freeview.

If you want to have a recording device, swap the Sky box directly for a Freesat+ box.
