A.J.CURRY: This is the "auto standby" facility on your television set.
Check in the TV's menus to turn it off.
On the LG that I have here you do this by pressing MENU then selecting TIME and AUTOMATIC STANDBY and then choosing OFF.
This has nothing do with Freeview or any transmitter.

Patricia: You need a FreeSAT HD or FreeSAT+HD receiver to connect to your dish and connect it to your television set using an HDMI lead.

susan jones: You can use any Freeview box you like, as long as the TV sets have a SCART socket. If you want to record, pause and playback you will need a Freeview+ box.
