peter peart: Things have chanced since the article was published on 19th April 2008, Freeview HD capacity is on it's own multiplex, it does not share with BBC SD services.

Bob: Yes, use an HDMI switch, you can get them for less than £20. Tesco 3Way HDMI Switcher - Tesco.Direct for example.

Freeview HD is 1080-line services, not 720p.
