Kevin Middleton: The answer is yes, the rainwater causes a short between the shielding and the signal cable and degrades the reception.

chris abrey: ITV1+1 is carried on Multiplex PSB2, as it has regional versions. The commercial multiplex that carries Film4 is a national service an cannot carry ITV1+1.

Mike W.: Just use one or other of the connectors on the cable. Or get a Freesat+HD box and use both of them!

Angela Lodge: No, you will only be able to record from Freesat if you have a Freesat+ box, or Freeview if you get a Freeview+ box.
