Bec: No, I have never heard of a "Hints transmitter" either, but I suspect you mean Lichfield.
If you mean Lichfield, this mast was was only used for Channel 5 on analogue and the pre-DSO Freeview HD service. There were no other channels on it.
If you could provide a postcode, it might be possible to assist further.

Michael.: OK, the phone line is of no use. If you want to move the box you will need to have the incoming satellite feeds rerouted and you have made no mention of this.

rugbyfan: It's hard to be specific without a postcode, but the usual explanation for the problems you have is that your signal is now far too strong.
As I have said above, if you have any boosters or amplifiers, remove them from the system.
If you don't, try fitting an attenuator, they cost about a fiver.
As you have not provided a postcode I can't work out if you have a Digital Region Overlap | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Rob: BBC TWO has closed forever on analogue, Channel 5 was never broadcast from the Wharfedale transmitter.
You must now be using Freeview to receive any BBC channels, the "red button" is ONLY carried on Freeview so you must be using it.

ian from notts: BBC One HD and BBC HD do not yet carry subtitles.
If you are missing subtitles on "normal" BBC Freeview channels, do this please My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice as this will fix it.
