Andy B: A full postcode would be a very good place to start...

Mike Dimmick: Thanks for that. Yes, it's in my diary. I've been busy all day, so I'm just doing the write-up for both events right now.

Emley Moor (Kirklees, England) transmitter

Adrian Rodgers: If you are getting channels on the wrong numbers, this is most likley because the list is failing to clear itself.

I'm not sure if switchover will make much difference to a missing EPG.

Another possibility is that you are now getting signals from the Belmont or Sheffeld transmitters - see Digital Region Overlap | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - for details. If that's the case then you might be able to "work around" the problem by clearing the channel list and then adding in the six Emley Moor channels manually.

Ziggy: Yes, trees can be a problem: you may have to mount the aerial on a long pole to overcome them.

pm: You might want to try removing the booster from your system - having too strong a signal will cause the kind of problems you have. You are in a very strong signal area, you shouldn't need a booster.

Denny Boy: Sky have, if I remember correctly, a 30 day money back period. I would contact them urgently if you are unhappy.

Chris Conway: The above procedure does not delete any recordings from a Sky+ box, but you will need to re-create your future recordings.

Phil: No, the Sky+ box is not compatible with the LNB out.

Most modern boxes do not have analogue outputs, if you want to do that, you can get an RF modulator:
Programmable Universal Modulator : AV Accessories : Maplin
for example.
