stu: Yes, the transmitter is always on. There was a Freeview HD fault as listed above.

Alison: Yes, on 28 September 2011 you will go from "Variable reception" to "Full reception".

Tim: You might need to get a professional in to make measurements. You might also like to suspect a faulty streetlight (or similar) - these are often the cause of night-time interference.

andyboy: I'm not sure, that is not one of the Sudbury dates - it is when Belmont, Olivers Mount end their switchover and Waltham starts.

Chris Kyan: I would have thought an external aerial is certainly worth a try - the current coverage is unlikely to change as it is "officially excellent".
