NottsUK: Sorry about the typo. I'm not sure about this "REAL" system, it seems a bit of a vapour-ware at the moment. They only seem to have access to the free-to-air channels at the moment.

NottsUK: Yes, but "permission" and "an actual service in the shops" are quite different things. When they get around to launching a service that people can buy and it counts as free then I will cover it.

TS, Kesgrave: Yes, this is because "Arqiva B will remain on its pre-switchover channel (50+) until late 2011, and then temporarily move to channel 63 (at 2.2kW ERP), before adopting its final allocation of channel 56 during mid-2012".

R Thompson: You should move the aerial to the roof for a reliable Freeview service. I would stick with Selkirk as you will get the same signal level and get all six multiplexes, there are only half ("Freeview Light") on this transmitter.

It is not a DAB relay, see DAB - Digital Audio Broadcasting | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for DAB transmitters.

Bill: Digital UK I would imagine, it is in all their industry documentation. For example in http://www.digitaluk.co.u….pdf

"Installers adopting RF bypass filters need to remember that these should be flexible enough to take account of sixteen UHF channels being auctioned off post switchover by Ofcom on behalf of the Government. "
