Raymond Allcorn: It is not likley that a loft aerial will provide good digital reception.

Harry: It could just be the signal being unable to penetrate your house, or a source of interference.
You might want to fit a rooftop FM aerial.

phil: The TV digital switchover will have no effect on radio transmitters. The later radio switchover (from 2015) will require you to have a DAB radio.
