ITV Thames Valley (Hannington and Oxford) existed from 4 December 2006 to 8 February 2009, when it switched to an opt-out of Meridian (South Coast).
"Central South" existed from January 1989. In 2006, Ridge Hill got given back to Central West.

John Clemence: BBC FOUR HD/CBeebies HD as well as BBC News HD will be starting on the two new HD multiplexes.
CBBC and BBC three have the highest viewing figures, it makes sense for them to go first.

PJH: Good point. As the "radio stations" on Freeview are basically a TV channel "without a picture", all Freeview, ONdigital and basic DVB-T equipment can receive.
It's also useful to know that if you use a Freeview box for the sole purpose of radio, you don't need a TV licence.
(Quite how you tune it without a TV set attached... I'm not sure)
