Matt: That is correct, you won't get reasonable Multiplex 2 (D3+4) until switchover on the 20th July 2011 from the new Clacton transmitter at your new postcode.

Brian: You need nothing more than a standard "contract" aerial. However, it is recommended to use satellite-grade coaxial cable when fitting a new aerial.
The Chatton and Pontop Pike transmitters are already providing a full service. Use Pontop Pike if you want to use Freeview HD before switchover.

Claire: As a general rule, you should keep a source of RF transmission (such as mobile phone or wireless router) as far away from a receiver (such as a Freeview box) as possible. This also includes the cables attached to the devices.
