Frequency information is out of date, West Wilts is now on 10D (as of 22 October 2015).

When will we know which channels Salisbury will be broadcasting on post-2018? I need to carry out some repair work on my aerial system and don't want to have to do it twice!

DAB not working too well this morning due to lift'.
I live near Stonehenge and can normally receive Gold' on the Berks and North Hants multiplex without issue but reception is currently almost impossible. SDL multiplex is a bit choppy' and bit error rates on national BBC multiplex are increased from zero to low 20s.
London 2' (12A) is receivable with some chop', London 1' and 3' stations are showing in the tuning list but don't connect, likewise with some Dutch stations. Stations on the Paris 2 multiplex (frequency 6A) are coming in loud and clear'.
I've had this happen with FM but this is the first time I've seen DAB do this.

It's annoying that Swindon and South Hampshire are on the same multiplex, I live between the predicted coverage areas and can receive South Hampshire but not well due to interference from Swindon. I have picked up multiplexes when a long way from their intended coverage area so maybe another look has to be taken at how far apart areas using the same multiplex need to be.

Douglas Cheney Probably would but ch. 37 was just outside of group A 30 years ago so you would need a reasonable signal. In addition, Com 8 (which is the multiplex on ch. 37) is broadcast at a lower power level than the other multiplexes (except the local' multiplex) and with horizontal polarisation only.

All this is academic though as Com 8 is being moved to ch. 56 on 21 March and that is way beyond group A!

Completely agree with Psohlavec's comments. I am a long-serving x-ray engineer so used to LOOKING at image quality but 90% of the population can't tell the difference between HD and non-HD images, they are taken in by the hype and think they are watching HD although they (usually) aren't.

One comment on the article; some Freeview sets do allow you to move programmes around, I've swapped our two televisions programmes so that when BBC 2, Channel 4 or Channel 5 is selected HD is automatically occurs - BBC1 there is no local HD and ITV HD is the wrong micro-region.

Chris.SE is correct in what he says about checking connections. I lost channel 36 (Com 7) on my lounge television, channels 33 and 35 (Arq. A and Com 8) worked okay, although the signal level wasn't fantastic. All other used channels.had reasonable' signal levels.

Problem was caused by a poor connection at the aerial wall box, after a bit of wiggling channel 36 returned and the signal level on other channels also increased. So the moral of the story is check connections, even if other channels are working fine.
