Below are all of pgw's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I have to say after installing my first DAB car radio, I was dissapointed with the reception.
However I invested in a Dega 4001 aerial. And what a difference.
I am receiving stations way out of the official coverage area now. No signal break up at all in the radio in the coverage maps this site provides!
I am impressed. OK DAB isn't the most brilliant audio quality, but in the car and having a decent choice of stations, it is excellent!

Are the Campbeltown transmitters muddled up?
I would find it hard to believe Argyll FM have 2 transmitters so close to one another. And the BBC FM services are missing?

Hi, yes I see. I didn't, in all the time I lived in Argyll, realise the Argyll FM transmitters on the Kintyre were so close together.
I think the lack of the BBC services listed confused me there!

As a field engineer and doing a lot of driving, I am getting fed up with the dross that is on FM.
Radio 2 is going down the pan, Radio 1 is just the pits, and local radio, well let's not even go here. (The only exception is Lincs FM who still seem to manage a decent output)
So after upgrading to a DAB radio in the car, and now access to Absolute, Planet Rock, Kiss, etc I am quite satisfied with the audio quality in the car, albeit not brilliant, and would probably use Sky at home not DAB.
However, given the radio choice in this country, I am more than happy with DAB!

Hi, why is LW missing from the frequency lists?
Is it also true that when the last valve breaks at Droitwich, BBC will turn off Radio 4 LW from there?

Hi Brian,
What is broadcast from Sutton Coldfield that covers almost to Glasgow, into Dublin and right down to France?
Or is there an error in the map or am I reading it wrong?

When did BBC DAB go live on South Knapdale (Argyll) as it's showing in the faults lists, but not listed as an actual transmitter with coverage on here yet?

Hi,
Belmont DAB transmitter covering Lincolnshire is not easily findable in the DAB transmitter list. You have to go through Yorkshire to find it.
